Give glory to God
As I was mentally preparing for today's post, I realized that the focus should not be on the illness and how to deal with it, but on God. Because it is HE who gives everything. The illness that affects our mortal bodies is only a sign of the decay that our bodies are exposed to.
Psalms 115
1 Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your mercy and for your faithfulness.
and the following verses
In the last few weeks I have become more and more aware that I am the person I am today because God decided to accept me and change me. Everything positive about me comes from him. My basic configuration is jealous, unfair, vengeful, selfish, insensitive, I prioritize money and my own power, I strive for sin and am unforgiving.
Everything positive about me, the sensitivity, the ability to forgive, the kindness, the attentiveness, the generosity, the helpfulness, the gratitude and much more comes from God.
HE is the one who enables me to do things I didn't even know I could do.
My praise and thanks go to HIM. And so I try to honor HIM to the best of my knowledge.
All good things come from HIM.
Psalms 23
1The Lord is my shepherd
I will not lack anything
He makes me lie down in green pastures
and leads me beside still waters….
This psalm expresses everything that I feel and have already experienced and I fully support the writer of the psalm in every word.
When was the last time you looked back at your life and how it has developed? Looked at all the situations you have experienced since you started walking with God?
Doesn’t your heart fill with deep gratitude as mine does?
Give God the glory!
I wish you a blessed week
