In the silence

Writer's picture: Roland BrunnenkantRoland Brunnenkant

I'm still under the impression of my first silent weekend. For the first time in my 27 years as a Christian, I took part in such an event and was able to experience what it means to become still before God. As a group of 13 Christians, we went together to the beautiful town of Betberg and spent a weekend there. The program was to become still and be silent for 40 hours. This silence included meals together and made me aware of what “becoming quiet before God” means. ultimately means and what impact it has on everyone personally. But as already written, I don't want to say too many words today and wish you all a blessed week and say goodbye with a quote from Jörg Zink from "Am Ufer der Stille

There's a lot to do.

I know.

But then I hear the quiet word:

Come on!

Drive over into the silence.

Try it: mooring on the shore

the inaudible presence of the master.

Stand there between the stones,

vulnerable.

Take Root and Maybe Awaken

like a flower.

I know there is a lot to do.

But do nothing

and let everything happen

is more necessary.

Is more.
