The miracle in my personal déjà vu

Even if it sometimes seems like I'm exposing myself too much by making my contributions very personal, it's all about highlighting the Triune God. I then try to describe my personal impressions and emotions so that the reader has the opportunity to see themselves in them. Even if the miracles I experience seem like happy coincidences. Because as a Christian I no longer believe in coincidences, but in God's work. Situations viewed from this perspective have made me quite sensitive to God's power and grace.

In this article I will avoid describing emotions as much as possible so that each of you has the opportunity to “put yourself in it”.

April 2013

In a bicycle accident I suffered a multiple pelvic ring fracture and was completely disabled for 6 weeks. Afterwards, while I was still in the final recovery phase, I received a cancer diagnosis. Liver cancer! Back then, a death sentence for me. I succumb to the fears that the word cancer triggers in many people and fall into a deep depression that lasts for 2 years. I almost completely lose sight of God.

July 2023

I am diagnosed with severe bilateral osteoarthritis in both knees and receive two artificial knee joints in two operations in September and October 2023. I've been completely slowed down for 4.5 months and have to learn to walk again. I flee into the arms of my God and draw strength and peace within me from him.

While still in the recovery phase, which will probably take a year, I will receive another cancer diagnosis shortly before Easter 2024, after a routine check-up. Liver cancer again. This time, however, I experience my own personal miracle. I feel so secure with God that I can decide not to worry this time. And through God’s strength and grace, I can do it. I go to work carefree for the 5 weeks leading up to the operation and experience what it is like to be in “one’s” peace.

The procedure, a microwave ablation, went smoothly and I started working again after just 5 days. I am in God and HE is in me.

Quote: “Sometimes it’s not the direct healing that’s the miracle, but rather being carried through.” (D.R.)

I have experienced what fear does to a person and what great deeds the power and grace of God can lead to.

My decision is rock solid. JESUS FIRST.

How about you? Are you already on a journey with God or are you still trying to sort everything out on your own?

I know that God has a plan for my life and for your life as well. Invite him into your life and let the time of “your” personal miracles begin.
