One day I learn here in Switzerland, to ask forgiveness for all my friends, colleagues, and all people whom I have known. Ohh, the day I remember some years ago is unforgettable. I was thinking and thinking and thinking. My mind was saying “what are my mistakes?” and, “what is my weakness”, “did I upset him”, and “did I upset her?” I even don’t remember my mistakes. but I continued to say to all my friends around me and fare away in my heart. “God bless you, God bless them, and God bless her and him”. one day, one verse came to my mind, “ And If he trespass against the seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shall forgive him.” Luk 17:4. In this passage, I learn “if anyone trespasses against me”, what shall I do? I lean to forgive anyone even if he or she is not around me or not able to contact me. I continued naming them all my friends and colleagues and said “I forgive you”. And “Sorry, I did wrong too.” Then all of a sudden, my heart got peace and my mind got peace.
I also remembered a verse also, Peter asked Jesus, “Lord, how off shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him?”, Yes this question and answer everyone could remember, but I was focused on If anyone sinned against me how off shall I forgive?. Before these days, I thought, I only give forgiveness if and only if someone says to me “ I am sorry, please forgive me” Yes, of course, I shall give a forgiveness answer, but, the good thing I learned is to forgive them even they don’t ask me, I was saying to myself, “I am sorry, that I kept it in my heart.” And “I am very sorry, and I also forgive you for all you trespass against me.” to all my friends around me and far away. I also wrote an email to ask for forgiveness. The power of forgiveness gives peace to the heart and mind.
